How will this work?

You would be provided with your own learning platform. All you need is a computer or a tablet with an internet connection. You can start/stop learning at any time. All lectures will be presented in video format, enabling you to start/stop/rewind/playback any lecture as many times as required. 

 

You can start an interactive discussion with the tutor regarding any topic using the platform. The tutor will be available from 9am to 5pm.

We shall work with you until you pass the course and achieve your DEA qualification.

There are no strict deadlines to complete the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) course. The maximum time is 6 months to one year.

 

This EPC Qualification is suitable for candidates who are at-least 18 years old or above.

A basic CRB/DBS is required in order to work as a DEA assessor after completing the DEA course.

This is a Level 3 Qualification (6371-01) that City & Guilds has accredited. A Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment (6371-01) from City & Guilds will be given to the student upon successful completion of the course.

☛  Insulation U-values, As built insulations and Unknown Insulations.
☛ Dimensions, Floor Plan, Measuring Heat Loss and Area calculations.
☛  Age of Property and assessing different age bands of properties.
☛  Heating Systems, Hot water systems, Lighting and Renewables.
☛  Photographs requirements and Auditing.
☛  EPC Software - RDSAP overview / Practical Exercises / data entry.
☛  Case Studies & Completion for Portfolio.
☛  Assignment's completion.

Assessment

A City & Guilds-approved assessor from Training Move will evaluate the learner's competency. For the assessment, students will turn in a finished portfolio. After submitting a successful portfolio, assessment is typically finished in one week, and learners can then get a certificate of completion within seven days.
